In October 2003 a new ruling was introduced in the UK called Block Exemption Regulations (BER).
What this effectively means is that when you now bought a vehicle from a dealership, you would normally need to have your vehicle repaired by the same dealership in order that your manufacturer's warranty would remain valid.
If you had your car repaired by a normal garage then you would invalidate your warranty. This is now not the case,
