BRAKE PAD FITTING KIT

A brake pad fitting kit is more or less a collection of different springs, clips and washers supplied in a small bag or box designed for replacing your old fitting that hold the brake pads into the caliper safely and securely. Whilst not usually perishing at the same rate that a set of brake pads do, they should always be thoroughly checked at the same time you check or replace your brake pads.

Check for metal fatigue and corrosion as once disturbed they are more pront to failure after re-fitting, they will be weaker when being re-fitted to the new brake pads as they will usually have to open or expand a little further than they have been used to, putting greater strains on the metal, which could then lead to a breakage and whilst on some vehicles this may have no consequence, on other it can have disastrous consequences, so SAFETY FIRST, check carefully and if in doubt then replace them anyway, as they are not too expensive, all our kits are usually around the £5 - £8 mark.

If in doubt replace it anyway and don't take chances with your brakes.
